Alex Sushi at Solli Plass was opened in the winter of 2001, by Christine and Petter Sandberg. Without experience from the restaurant industry, they opened the sushi bar with 30 seats at Solli Plass - with a desire to create a unique place where atmosphere and quality are in focus.

Today, the restaurant consists of three floors at Solli Plass; with a restaurant, privatedining,rooms and take away department.

In 2014, the salmon producer Nova Sea became one of the owners of Alex Sushi, and with this Alex Sushi created a unique bond to the producer of the most popular menu item – the salmon.

Today, the mantra since 2001 is stronger than ever: An uncompromising quest for the best ingredients on the market - coupled with a desire to give guests a better experience every time they visit the restaurant.

In the restaurant the best seats are found in the heart of the restaurant - in the oval sushi bar in the center of the room. Here, guests can enjoy first-class views of the chefs as they create small pieces of art in the form of sashimi, nigiri and maki.

The private dinner rooms consist of two chambre separees, where you have the opportunity to enjoy the Alex Sushi experience for up to 64 people in secluded surroundings.

From our Take Away guests are welcome to pick up sushi themselves, or have it delivered straight home by our drivers. We also offer catering to large and small events,with chefs and waiters – for the whole Alex Sushi experience at home.
